Horse manure is composted for at least 16 weeks at a temperature that will kill seeds, pathogens and fly larva, it is then shredded to make it easy to spread on your garden or allotment.

Fork or rotavate into soil or apply as a mulch, this will help to control weed growth, replace nutrients and retain moisture. It will eventually be incorporated into and enrich the soil by the action of weather and worms. Improve the soil with just a 5cm to 7.5cm layer of manure, then fork or rotavate into the soil.

Perfect for herbaceous borders, flower and vegetable beds, especially good for roses.
